The Database Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining large scale and mission critical databases that are secure, reliable and scalable. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented and demonstrate a consistent approach to problem solving and analysis. Ability to work diligently (results orientated) to achieve goals, meet quality controls and deadlines. Successful candidate must have strong drive to continually improve reliability and performance.
Design, develop, architect, and maintain Data Systems to support High Availability and Scalability. Road Map and Capacity Planning. Mentor and create best practice guidelines to support current and future projects and business needs. Collaborate with teams across geographies to achieve business and development goals. Performance tuning and automation of database related maintenance and monitoring tasks involving application design, I/O patterns, concurrency, memory, tempdb and CPU, etc. Baseline, benchmark and trending analysis with SQL Trace, Extended Events, PerfMon, DMVs, Clear Trace and RedGate Suite. Evaluate different Products pros/cons to suit business needs. Load Testing to estimate system capacity and failover points. Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping strategies for High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
Requires a Bachelor in Engineering with five years related experience.
Develop and maintain SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages using Business Intelligence Development Studio. Use query plans to analyze queries and improve query performance. Work with developers to develop optimal database solutions that cater to the application requirements. Work with application developers to design, develop and debug queries and stored procedures. Develop CLR (Common Language Runtime) stored procedures and functions in managed code. Develop, maintain, and monitor the execution of SQL Server jobs. Manage critical databases in SQL Server 2008 and 2012. Manage security related to user logins and permissions on per database basis. Deploy and update databases on production environments using database compare tools. Create and maintain documentation for various modules including database schema and backend architecture pertaining to database functions.
Require Master in Computer Science or related fields with 2 years related experience.
